With more years in the construction industry than she cares to remember, Dawn works at Director level sharing her many experiences with the students. Has held teaching posts at Anglia Ruskin University and Hertfordshire University. Dawn is a trained City and Guilds teacher for adults and winner of the Student of the Year 2006 Eastern Counties for Outstanding Achievement. She is passionate about the CIOB and apart from being lead lecturer at CMT, is also a CIOB external verifier and has sat on the Professional Review Management Panel.
Ray has a BSc in Civil Engineering and a wealth of experience in the construction industry with many years working in the education sector course leading on surveying and mathematics at Colchester Institute. More recently delivering Surveying and Civil Engineering Principles to degree level at Anglia Ruskin University and of course teaching the Surveying Module at Construction Management Training. Ray is probably our most popular lecturer, combining Pythagoras’s Theorem with a sense of humour - a great way to learn!
Andrew has many years’ experience within the structure and ground working industry, specialising in piling and concrete on major projects. He is a member of the Institute of Concrete Technology and is passionate about innovative concrete solutions and sharing his technical knowledge with up and coming construction managers.
Our younger member of the team - his speciality is quantity surveying and cost control. Worked for a major tier 1 contractor for 7 years and then experienced 3 years as a cost control consultant for large retail projects. Now taking the financial helm at the family construction company Parias Commercial Interiors as Commercial Director. He enjoys teaching the Level 4 students the Estimating Module.
Has a wealth of experience within the construction industry, over the years working for main contractors, developers and housing associations in a plethora of positions from Construction Manager to holding Director posts. He is passionate about the development of up and coming construction professionals and has delivered CIOB Level 4 course at Guildford College, whilst being a consultant monitor at Considerate Constructors. The future of the environment and sustainability for Richard is important and he sits on committees at the CIOB, including the fellowship panel.
